Curly Haired Girls!

Do you have curly hair? If you do, these simple tips will make your hair more healthy and manageable!

1. Don't use shampoo! Curly hair is already prone to dryness and shampoo just makes it worse! Stick to conditioners and moisturizers!

2. Don't brush! Use a wide-toothed comb to detangle your hair and do that when it is wet!

3. Try to let hair air dry! Towel drying frizzes your hair and it also damages it.

4. Right before you get out of the shower, rinse your hair with cold water. This helps to eliminate frizz!

Here are some products that I recommend for curly hair:

Frizz-Ease Hair Serum by John Frieda

Redken Fresh Curls Spin Control Leave-in Treatment

Anything by Biolage

Eyelash Curlers

Eyelash curlers are quick and useful tools that can be used in your morning routine to spice up your eyelashes. They may be tricky and awkward at first but give it a couple of days.. you'll get the hang of it!

The best eyelash curler is made by Shu Uemura. At just under $20, the Shu Uemura is the best of the best and works very well. Click here for more info.

Most importantly, eyelash curlers should be used on clean eyelashes. If you have any mascara on them, the eyelashes will stick to the curler and rip out. Ew!

Steps:

1. On low heat, use your blow dryer to warm up the curler. Do this only for a few seconds. Make sure the curler isn't hot or it will burn you!

2. Clamp down on your eyelashes right at the roots. Hold in place for 15-30 seconds and release. Do this with your top lashes only, it's pointless and difficult to curl your bottom lashes.

3. Repeat on your other eye and apply a few coats of your favorite mascara. Voila!

Cheap Nail Polish

Don't have the money to spend on Dior OR Chanel nail lacquer? Try these cheaper brands and you won't be disappointed!

Try Sally Hansen, OPI or Milani.

Between the three, OPI is top tier stuff, it goes on easy and smooth and lasts long. It's got a nice variety of colors and is the most expensive of the three.

Remember, base and top coats are pertinent in long lasting nail color. You'll especially want top coats with Milani because it has an annoying little tendency to chip fast. The good thing about Milani is that you will find it anywhere and if you need black nail polish, it will probably be from this company.

I love Sally Hansen nail prisms. The colors are complex, glittery and eye catching., You will definitely get compliments when you sport it on your nails. As long as you add a few coats, chipping shouldn't have a major problem.

Victoria's Secret!

Any woman who shops at Victoria's Secret for their beauty products knows that it can become addicting! From their fragrances to their makeup to their lotions, their products are original and there is something for everyone to enjoy. Here are a few of my favorites.

Out of all the fragrances from the Dream Angels line, Dream Angels Heavenly is my favorite. It's also the number one selling womens perfum in America! The scent lasts long but it's not too strong, it's clean and it's very pleasant.

So Sexy Shampoo is probably one of the best smelling shampoos out there. It's probably not the most nourishing thing for your hair but I find that girls like the smell so much that they don't even care! Beware, it's very addictive.

I LOVE Victoria's Secret Beauty Rush lip glosses. They are very shimmery and girly and they taste delicious! Remember, a little bit goes a long way with this stuff because it's a bit thick and sticky. A great plus in my book is that this lip gloss will last you all day and reapplications should be minimal. My favorite flavors are Slice of Heaven (formerly known as Piece of Cake), Cupquake and I Want Candy.

Skin Care

The product I'd like to share with you all today is known as the Clarisonic Skincare Brush. We sold them at Sephora and the ladies (and gents) adored them! Depending on where you get this item, it will run you between $160-$200. If you have the money and are able, I would recommend this product as a part of your daily skincare regime because it will leave your skin clean, exfoliated and soft! How To Get Rid Of Acne

Acne. We've all had it and if you haven't, count your lucky stars! The most common types of pimples are whiteheads and blackheads. They both are such an inconvienence, but in my opinion blackheads are much worse! They are harder to remove and if done improperly, they can result in life-long scars.

Some people I know put toothpaste on their blackheads and wait 10 minutes, then remove them. This is semi-effective but it burns and doesn't work completely. I recommend that you gently exfoliate your skin, take a shower to open up your pores and push softly on each site of the blackhead. You can also use the top of a push pen because the circular opening fits nicely around the blackhead. WARNING: Doing this to hard will result in a scar. Being gentle is the key!

The easiest thing to rid yourself and prevent pimples all together would be to invest in Proactiv. You might be skeptical because you've seen the likes of Jessica Simpson, Lindsay Lohan, Diddy and Vanessa Williams pushing the product but trust me, it works!

Last but not least, wash your face every night! Don't use bar soap because it just dries and blocks your pores. Neutrogena and some other companies make great products that I will get to in a later post. And remember, diet affects your skin! If you sit around eating greasy potato chips and french fries all day, don't expect to have beautiful skin. Good luck!
